You Aren’t the Limit of the Work!
A Practice to Increase Your Effectiveness and Reduce Your Overwhelm
A free webinar on June 9, 2022 at 2 pm eastern.
Are you looking for a way to be more effective with your clients?
A way to show up from a truly grounded and confident place?
We are living in a culture of overwhelm. In the midst of it, how do you show up fully and know that you’re doing good work? One of my teachers said to me early on: “You are not the limit of the work.”
I would love to invite you to a short and powerful webinar in which I will teach you a surrender practice that reminds you that you are not the limit of the work. This simple practice, that takes less than a minute to do, has transformed not only my own work with individual clients and groups, but the work of hundreds of my clients and students. What’s more, you can use it in any situation where you work with individuals or groups.
This webinar helps put your and your clients’ overwhelm in perspective. When you can know and trust that you aren’t the limit of your work with them, there’s a deep relaxation that can happen. The practice itself pulls you out of overwhelm and grounds you. From there it helps you step into your power and sovereignty so you can use your gifts fully.

Surrender??!!, you might be asking.
Yes, Surrender! But it’s probably not what you are thinking. There are two common views of surrender that are not helpful to you or your work with clients or groups:
First mistaken view:
The belief that surrender equals weakness and/or failure.
If you’re fighting for something, even something really worthwhile, the surrender is often seen as the worst thing you can do. However, this view actually puts up walls between you and your client. It also puts up walls between you and the Divine (however you conceive of that which is beyond you).
Second mistaken view:
Many people, and especially those who identify as women in Western culture, have been told to surrender their life, or everything about them, for others. This is also the more common use of the term when it comes to service-oriented work of any kind. The danger here is that you collapse, or feel like you must give your very self up to serve the other person.
In both views of surrender, the power dynamics are skewed.
I would love to teach you a different understanding of surrender, and a surrender practice that puts you and your work in right relationship with the Divine, with yourself, and with your clients or students.
This practice pulls you out of any grasping, fear, or overwhelm that might cause you to collapse or not be able to be fully present. The result is that you have more ease with your clients or students, and your work is far more effective.
This webinar is especially designed for service professionals, including healing practitioners, bodyworkers, teachers, and ministers.
I’ll be covering the following points:
I’ll be teaching for most of it, and there will be plenty of time for questions.
About Mary Shields, PhD
Mary Shields, PhD is a healing practitioner and educator who has supported thousands of clients and students through deep transformation. She brings together a strong grounding in spiritual practices from a number of traditions, experience as a teacher/professor, and more than two decades of practice and teaching in a range of healing modalities.
Most recently, the central focus of her teaching and healing practice has been working with the science of connection. She has developed a system of healing that helps permanently change dysfunctional or painful group dynamics that are undermining the effectiveness and health of the group or individual.
This method of healing is easily learned. It also integrates powerfully into other existing modalities, such as coaching, counseling, therapy, body work, etc., and can accelerate a return to wholeness.
She is passionate about helping people learn this work too, as it has never been more necessary — from individuals to small groups to communities to the planet.
