Structure of the Sessions

The first part of each session will focus on a key topic, together with Q & A.

I will spend 10-15 minutes reviewing central aspects of that topic. Then there will be time for questions and discussion. Maybe there is something you didn’t understand, or something you’re struggling with, or you have questions about practical application.  Or maybe you just need a refresher!

The last hour or so will be devoted to specific case studies which will be submitted to me in advance. The purpose is to review a situation in which you either used or could use Weaving Webs, or possibly where you have integrated or would like to integrate Weaving Webs with your practice or work.

Working like this not only helps you, but the entire group learns from each study as well. It also means that I will be able to mentor each of you individually several times as part of our group experience.

In addition to the above, my goals for this group include deepening your learning and experience, and providing you more insight about where and how you can use these techniques.

FAQs

I haven’t been doing much of the Weaving Webs work lately. Can I still benefit?

Yes! I will be reviewing key aspects of Weaving Webs at the beginning of each meeting. That will serve as a refresher. I will also let you know what the topic will be ahead of time so you can go back and review your course materials ahead of time. There will be plenty of time for Q and A too.

It’s been a long time since I took this class(es). I am not sure how much I remember. Can I still benefit?

That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to offer this group. Whether it was 2020 or previously, we’ve all had a lot happening since we gathered together. This work is even more important now with everything that is happening. My goal is to review all the key topics so you not only remember Weaving Webs, but feel comfortable using it.

What if I don’t currently have a practice or a group where I’m using Weaving Webs. What would I do for a case study?

Even if you aren’t using Weaving Webs professionally right now, you are a part of all kinds of webs. For your case study, you can talk about one of the webs that you’re a part of that has some dysfunction, needs some healing.

I don’t have a full-time healing practice, or I do spiritual direction, or I’m in ministry, and I’m not always sure how I could integrate Weaving Webs with that work. Would this group help me?

Yes! If you have a healing or spiritual direction practice or ministry, you can bring a situation that might need some Weaving Webs work, and we can talk about how to integrate Weaving Webs with anything else you do professionally.

I’m in a job that doesn’t seem to provide opportunities for Weaving Webs work. Could this group benefit me?

You are part of many webs, and there is so much weaving and reweaving that needs to be done. I can help you identify places where you could use the Weaving Webs work. And we can work with one or more of those situations as a case study in your personal mentoring time.

What counts as a Case Study?

A case study can be anything from:

— A situation where you used Weaving Webs work that you would like some more insight on.

— A situation where you think Weaving Webs could be used and you would like some help knowing how to apply it.

— You want help identifying situations in your groups or work where you could use Weaving Webs. In this case, you would bring a list of the groups you are involved with (family, work, groups) or that you wish to help. Then together we would identify one that you can focus on, and how you can use Weaving Webs with it. Then you work with Weaving Webs, and bring your experience of it as your next case study so we can look at how it went, what you could do next, etc.

— You want help integrating Weaving Webs with your other work.  In this case, you would present your current work and ask for ideas about how to integrate Weaving Webs with what you do. Together we will identify some situations where you could use Weaving Webs. Then you could use Weaving Webs in a specific situation, and bring that as your next case study.

Note:  this list is not exhaustive.  It’s meant to serve as a guideline for some ways you can make the most practical use of this group for your particular situation.

What happens if I have to miss a class session?

Each session will be recorded if you can’t make it live, but I strongly encourage you to mark the dates on your calendar now. We will be creating a strong web of support and community as well. In addition, whether it’s your turn for individual focus or not, you will always find something that resonates or helps you understand things more deeply, or get some ideas for practice.

Please join me and this wonderful group of people who are gathering.  Together let’s create a strong Weaving Webs community.  Together we will contribute to the healing of the world’s webs.
